There’s something spiritually uplifting about sitting in a concert hall with a thousand other music enthusiasts to enjoy professionally performed music. Here in Western Mass, we have a variety of world class cultural and performance venues for you to visit during the summer. Within a 30 minute drive of Himalayan High, we have art museums, dance companies, and nationally recognized concert theaters. Whether it’s the lawn of Tanglewood on a warm Friday night, or the Great Barrington Stage company on a Saturday afternoon, the Berkshires have your cultural fix and Himalayan High has the products to enhance your experience.
One of the local gems we have nearby is the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington. Originally opening in 1905, the building and its surroundings have undergone structural changes, sales, renovations, and historical designations to get to where it is today. Having hosted all sorts of artists over the last century, from John Philip Sousa to the Old Crow Medicine Show, the Mahaiwe has a little something for everyone. This weekend, Glori Wilder brings her singer-songwriter talents to the Indigo Room on Friday evening, while the legendary Del McCoury Band will grace the main hall on Saturday. Later in the season, they host country great Steve Earle, will present a live simulcast of the MET Opera’s Barber of Seville by Rossini, welcome a multimedia talk about the influence of soul icon Curtis Mayfield, and bring the inimitable Los Lobos to the Mahaiwe Center. Check out their website for ALL the action they’ll be bringing to the Berkshires this summer.
And check out our Himalayan High website for terrific products to bring your cannabis lifestyle to the cultural scene. A couple of our recommended edibles to liven up your theater outing are Pina Colada or Mango Fruit Melts from Phat Dogg and either the Tater Chip Chocolate bar or the Rainbow Mello Bites, both from Bountiful Farms. All three of these products will elevate the sights and sounds of the band, orchestra, stage performance, or guest speaker while allowing you to maintain discretion among the high-class crowd. Tasty, fast-acting and effective, these delicious treats are made from real ingredients. High quality chocolate in the Bountiful confections and natural fruit flavors in the Phat Dogg Melts let you feel good about what you’re eating while what you’re eating makes you feel good. They give a nice sense of harmony and balance in your mind and soul as your external senses take in the rhythms and melodies of the night’s attraction.
Just like the multi-media offerings the Mahaiwe has throughout the year, we have some multi-purpose products that might make your night out that much better. For the pre-show festivities and maybe even for a quick hit at intermission, the Limoncello and Blue Raspberry Dual Vape from Perpetual is the perfect accompaniment to your artistic evening. 2 grams of different distillates in one easy-to-use disposable unit. Take a few pulls of one flavor before the show, then change it up by hitting the other oil at intermission to take in the second half with a different perspective. Convenient, pocket-sized, and potent, this little companion gets you in the musical mood within seconds.
The other concert recommendation we’ll make for you focuses on Kanha’s Raspberry Rose Love Gummies. Sweet and tart, these unique candies have a three-pronged cannabinoid attack to really elevate your night out. According to the manufacturer, Love’s blend of THC, THCv, and CBG will bring you a spiritual warmth and light that helps you become engrossed and emotionally involved with whatever you’re doing. If you already love the music of Pure Prairie League, coming to the Mahaiwe in early July, or are seeing the stage production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” for the umpteenth time this June, these carefully formulated gummies will bring out a whole new layer of appreciation and enjoyment.
At Himalayan High, we love that you are spending your hard earned money, and your valuable time, patronizing our fellow local and regional businesses. In the current economic climate, your support means even more than it previously has. Every dollar spent in the Berkshires and not on Amazon or at Walmart helps your friends, neighbors, and surrounding community. We appreciate being your local neighborhood cannabis shoppe, and hope your loyalty extends to the performing arts venues and retailers in the area. We are all here for you, and wouldn’t be here if is wasn’t for you. And now, please welcome back to the stage….. at the Mahaiwe.
