Becket Day 2025

What’s Going On?

Autumn in New England.  It’s the time of year for high school football, leaf-peeping, bonfires, foliage walks, flannel shirts, pumpkin carving, corn mazes, apple cider, and BECKET DAY 2025!!!  That’s right, true believers from near and far.  The Biggest day of the year in your favorite little Berkshire hill town is right around the corner and Himalayan High is here for it!  November 1st, from wake up to bedtime, the town of Becket is coming together to show support and appreciation for it’s local business owners and entrepreneurs.  Stores and shoppes big and small, new and old throughout town will have their doors wide open for nearby neighbors and far-from-home travelers alike to sample some small town New England charm and hospitality.  Check out some of the happenings down below.

Dinner and Brews with a Show

The classic night out consisting of a fine dinner followed by live music isn’t reserved for city folks.  No, no, no, no.  On Becket Day (and most weekends, actually) you can find high quality, professionally prepared, comfort food and live entertainment right here in Berkshire County.  Two local restaurants we like that are featured in Becket Day activities are the Route 8 Pub and the Dreamaway Lodge.  The Route 8 Pub is a favorite destination of one of our managers and once you step inside, you’ll understand why.  A cozy atmosphere welcomes you in, the homey sights and aromas from the kitchen guide you to a table, and the live music will keep you on your toes all night. With a large selection of bottled and tap beer, as well as the 2nd best burger in Berskhire County, some of the best pub food and pizza for miles around, you’ll become a fan yourself in no time.  For Becket Day, the Ladies Diane will be performing on stage at 2 in the afternoon, and all guests will receive a complimentary slice of pie with their meal purchase, as rt 8’s way of saying thank you for patronizing local businesses.

Comfort Food in a Classy Place

The other local restaurant we have on the Becket Day roster is the Dream Away Lodge.  These fine folks have a different feel than the guys at Rt. 8 Pub, but their food is at least as good and the ambiance is quiet and quaint, except on show days.  There is a limited, but amazing menu, crafted from locally sourced ingredients, like grass-fed burgers and masa-crusted trout.  They also have live music and other performing arts in their bar/music room, which is open until late.  Their contribution for the 3rd annual Becket Day is one of the finest Italian meals in Western Mass; Mama Frasca’s Famous Meatballs, accompanied by a live set from the Moon Hollow Band.

Community Fun For All

Besides some great deals at local eateries, there are other events happening in town as well, that don’t require consuming calories.  The Becket Arts Center will have a family friendly Holiday arts and crafts marketplace from 10-3 so you can start thinking about your Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and displays.  If you mention Becket Day while you’re shopping at the Becket Washington Atheneum, you can save 10% on sale-priced craft items.  Made with skill and love, these hand-made items will add a touch of culture and a conversation starter to any room in the house.  While you’re walking around town, pop into the Neon Newt for some good eats or a cup of coffee.  The Becket Country Store also has a Buy One Get One deal on select items for Becket Day.

A Little Pick Me Up for the Big Day

Speaking of local, craft retailers to patronize on Becket Day, we are Himalayan High, we’re at the intersection of routes 8 and 20, and we’d love to see you too.  Come in for a multi-pack of pre-rolls before your weekend adventures start, like these Dante’s Inferno hybrids from the Fresh Connection.  Or, pull into our not-so-hidden driveway on Jacob’s Ladder Road and grab some Levia tinctures to bring home for a nightcap.  Same effects as Levia’s super-popular seltzers, but more versatile to use and with three times the active THC in each container.  While you’re at it, and if you’re a concentrate kind of person, we have this sensational Purple Cadillac Live Hash Rosin from Bountiful Farms.  POTENT and delicious, one puff of this will have you ready for the afternoon football games.  Oh yeah, ALL customers to Himalayan High on Becket Day will get a complimentary pack of store-branded rolling papers to go with your order of $25 or more.  AND, if you’re a Becket resident, you can get DOUBLE loyalty points all day long.  When you collect enough points, cash them in for all sorts of non-cannabis products like lighters, tote bags, t-shirts, vape batteries and more.  All you need to start accumulating points is an email address and a purchase.

Whether you come to the area to sight-see, visit family, attend Becket Day, or hike a section of the AT for a few hours, please consider making Himalayan High one of your stops.  We’ve been around for only a couple of years and love being part of the Becket neighborhood.  Come see us and find out why they love us, too.
